And finally both the two Japanese cross stitches are on our wall. I got the same from US while I was at Paris (2005); I completed one in Paris and other in Mumbai. After finishing them, there was lots of procastination and deliberation in finding the correct passe-partout. We visited few shops around Shiv Sena Bhavan at Dadar, Mumbai but nothing finalized. After that when Santanu went to Singapore for business trip he got the passe-partout from there. It seems he even got tax refund for the same. Then he ordered the frames from Dadar while the framing was completed by Santanu at home.

And last but not least these frames ultimatley got hung at our Bangalore rented Apartment for the first time. Wow what a journey for these two from US to B’glore.

Rekha was first to introduce this stitch to me. To master this stitching she took be to an English book store(Brentano’s) near Opera Garnier at Paris. There are people from all over the world who come and share their creativity of stitching with fellow mind at free of cost.

This was ordered from USA Dimensions Gold Collection. Counted cross stitch kit contains: 18 count ivory Aida fabric, cotton embroidery thread with thread palette, needle, and easy instructions which include an easy-to-read multicolor chart. It took me almost 4 months to complete this project.

Bought this design from ‘L’aiguille en fête’ held at Parc de Floral – Paris on March 2005. The exhibited one was done in green color but I preferred to do it with shaded red; earlier started with metallic thread but did not work out for this project.

Ordered from Thailand; it took some time to reach Paris. The kit included everything like green cloth,threads and instructions. A subtle composition with few bright colors, never fails to attract attention.

Another design from ‘L’aiguille en fête’ held at Parc Floral de Paris on March 2005. Santanu started this project with great enthusiasm as it looks simple with single color and very clean design; but after doing few stitches he gave up and I have to finish it. The design is complicated as there is only one color and very difficult to navigate between holes. One simple mistake and the line will not be straight any longer as one proceeds and have to redo the whole section.
